Senior Portrait Planning Guide
Hey there! If you’re seeing this, that means you’ve booked a senior session with me, Nadine Wendorff! First of all, I am beyond stoked and honored that you are sharing this season of life with me. You have so much to be proud of and are probably experiencing a million different emotions right now as you prepare to step into adulthood and graduate high school! It’s my job (literally) to document and capture how you feel right now. My goal is to be authentic and honest in the way I take pictures. I want you to look back on these pictures and be back in this moment, these feelings, these memories. So while I’ll always keep you looking great, I’ll never pose you in stiff, awkward stances that don’t feel like yourself. During our shoot, we will keep things flowing, keep things light, and ultimately have a good time. I think you are an amazing person, just the way you are, and I know these photos will show that :)
With that said, here’s a totally optional resource I’ve created to prepare for your shoot. Read and/or answer the questions in the form below to get you thinking about your shoot and how to make the best of it! I absolutely love what you guys write because it helps me get to know you before our time together. At the very least, please read it over! THANK YOU! I CANNOT WAIT!!

Outfit Planning Advice
Imagine an outfit that makes you feel like yourself. Maybe that’s exactly what you should wear. If you don’t think that’s right, notice what you love about the outfit and use that feeling to guide you in picking your outfits for the shoot. Write about your favorite outfit in the “outfit planning” text box
BIGGEST PET PEEVE OF MINE: WRINKLED / CREASED STOLES! IRON OR STEAM YOUR GOSH DANG STOLE BEFORE THE SHOOT OR I WILL BULLY YOU !!! (jk I won’t, but seriously, IRON YOUR STOLE!)
What to wear: Wear something that makes you feel like yourself. If you’ve selected a package that gives enough time for outfit changes, I suggest you pick 2-3 outfits:
Formal-ish: something fancy and fun
Casual-ish: something more casual that you might wear regularly that looks very much like yourself
Bonus: something that relates to who you are / what you do.
Example: A dress, jeans and a cool shirt, and your basketball uniform.
Example: Nice shirt + pants, a crisp tee shirt + jeans / shorts, and your favorite band tee.
Great places to shop: Free People, Abercrombie, your local thrift store, ASOS, Poshmark, Depop
Clothing rental: this is my personal favorite thing to do, Nuuly is about $90 and you get to rent 6 pieces from Urban, Free People, and a million other fancy, fun, and unique brands. Use my link here for $10 off! YEWWW~!
What to avoid: If possible, avoid busy patterns, loud colors, and logos… all of those things might distract from what’s important… you! Not sure? Text Nadine. Also, this is probably obvious but, make sure no underwear or bras are visible in the outfit! Ex, if your dress has a cutout, make sure you have the right bra!
Location: Consider where you’re taking your pictures and try to select your outfit accordingly. For example, if you’re going to a brown / golden field; don’t wear brown, tan, yellow or otherwise any colors that would blend in(...unless you’re going for the monochrome vibe which is cool but it's its own vibe, you know?) If you’re going to the beach, your skinny high heels might not be the best choice ;)
Ultimately, you should feel like yourself :) Because you’re cool!!!!!!!!!!
